It's Not The Sound Of Music

You knew this was coming. It was written on the walls the moment that Radulov and Kostitsyn were caught out past curfew during the playoffs. It has been reported that Alexander Radulov has gone back to the KHL where was a star for a ridiculous payday compliments of CSKA Moscow. That ridiculous payday is a four-year deal worth an average of $9.2 million per season. WOW.

The 25 year-old spent the last four years with Ufa Salavat Yulayev where he was a legitimate star. After the Salavat was eliminated in the Gagarin Cup Playoffs, he jumped back to Nashville to finish the last year of his entry-level contract in order to make him a free agent. Normally, free agents want to continue their careers in the NHL, but not Radulov. He's going to go back to Russia where he'll get paid like he's royalty, and he can be the star for CSKA Moscow for the next four years.

So it's with great happiness that I can post these song lyrics... with some minor modifications made to fit the situation a little better.

So long, farewell
Auf Wiedersehen, goodnight
I'm glad you'll go and leave this pretty sight

So long, farewell
Auf Wiedersehen, adieu
Adieu, adieu
Moscow awaits for you

So long, farewell
Au revoir, Auf Weidersehen
You'd like to stay
To taste your first champagne

So long, farewell
Auf Weidersehen, goodbye
You weave and leave
We sigh and say goodbye
Goodbye

I'm glad you'll go
I cannot tell a lie
You whine, you float
I'm glad to tell you goodbye.

Until next time, keep your sticks on the ice!
